If you want the best audio quality then the first type will impress. The thing is that those systems don't pass the wife test. I also tried the Sony HT 5000 and was quite happy with the bass. I was suspecting the Soundbar was receiving conflicting commands from both Sony tv and the ext. Which regularly led to a software crash of the Soundbar. Although I must say casting music from the Nest hub mini worked quite ok but the main event TV with surround sound did not.

Recently I also have been facing problems with an android box connected to the one connectbox, it loses the sound and I have to reconnect the box in order to get the sound back. Until a few months ago I had no problems. I have A HW-Q90R connected to a Sony Braiva AG9.

We found the method of navigation for digital media files to be a little geekier than the other menus, but that's understandable since it's more of an advanced feature in the first place. We only have 12mb/sec internet speed and the movies stream without any issues.

Honestly, the speakers included with the system look a little cheap and feel a bit insubstantial. So imagine my shock when they take a licking and keep on ticking throughout Iron Man's most raucous action scenes. You really have to push these things to the point of ear pain before any sort of significant distortion occurs. We imagine most HT-C6500 buyers will spend most of their time watching movies, and on that score this system is an exceptional performer. The Sony BDV-E770W HTIB comparison was a tight contest, but the HT-C6500 won for its richer balance and fatigue-free listening charms.

There's not an easy visual way to select the different inputs available on the HT-C6500; the LG LHB535 has a separate menu where you can browse your available options. It won't be a problem for tech-savvy users, but it makes it harder for non-techies to use. We also still have some concerns about Samsung's Blu-ray player reliability (last year's HT-BD1250 was not spared from reliability issues, according to user opinions), but we didn't run into any issues during our testing. Those issues aside, its excellent mix of features and superior sonics make the HT-C6500 the best Blu-ray HTIB we've tested this year. No wireless rear speakers; requires a dongle for iPod connectivity, rather than a sleeker built-in design; buttons on top of the player are inconvenient; last year's Samsung Blu-ray players had reliability issues.

In addition to the solid performance, the HT-C6500 also boasts a slick interface for all of its multimedia offerings. Accessing music, movies, and photos on my PC is as simple as pressing the red button on the remote and selecting my PC as a source. Vudu, Netflix, Blockbuster, and all of Samsungs apps are just a few clearly labeled button presses away.

I've dug up the internet for an answer as I also have a Samsung TV. The reason is that Smart things uses cloud services. When your tv is off, those services are in standby mode and cannot "wake up" to turn your TV on. Smart thing is a hit or miss with google home. It seem the integration is not that good with samsung. Think they try to push you toward Bixby. I have reset the systems several times, I have uninstalled all software and installed it again, I tried both from Android 10 and IOS 14 but I am totally stuck.

The system is excellent it packs the power and punch of a 50k plus system that i listened at in Best Buy. The remote control should have more features but it makes up for this through the smart things app that you can download to your phone. This system even dials into the Vios network. Finally it gives true Surround Sound THX Atmos and Dolby Atmos Sound. When i first listened at it in the store it had the whole room shacking as i watched Kong you could even hear the persons head crunch and crackle as it was being bitten off.

If you have other devices attached to the TV you can leave those HDMI cables connected to the TV. Or, you have an option to connect those HDMI cables through the sound bar . However, in either case the sound bar will take over the audio function from the TV as long as it is attached to the ARC port. Why do I ask, well as a google home user with all my smart products as well as wireless speakers I was really hoping I could use my Q90R sounbar to include in that enviroment to play music in multple rooms. I've tried audio systems from several different vendors prior to this one. Complex AV amp setups and simplistic soundbars.

Anyway, very happy with the sound of this thing but it would have made it perfect to have it in google home. I understand your point, but, I need to add that I manage to turn on and off the sounbar in combination with the Logitech Harmony Elite universal remote. Google Home supports Logitech Harmony's ecosystem which, on itself, enables me to carry out stored activities in the Logitech Hanrmony Hub using Google Home. I am not able to natively manage the soundbar using Google Home.

So I know officially Samsung soundbar Q90R doesnt include support for google assitance but only alexa, I just wanted to know if there is a particular reason for this as I doubt it is a technical problem. Pixel density is another factor when it comes to picture quality. Larger screens require higher resolution to maintain the same pixel density as smaller screens with lower resolution.

I have the latest firmware with eArc support. On 1 of the ports on the Soundbar I had connected a Chromecast Ultra 2. I won't tell you the horrors I went through but anyway after a major crash every 2-3 days I decided to take out the Chromecast Ultra 2.
